We all know our food choices have a profound impact on our health, but we tend to be less aware how what we eat influences our thoughts, our emotions, and even how we live our spiritual values.
In this special workshop we’ll look at the classic Yogic teachings on how diet affects mood, concentration, and our world-view. We’ll explore in an open, gentle way, simple actions we can take to increase our mindfulness and support our spiritual development through both what and how we eat.
Topics will include:
- The Food/Mind Connection: How dietary choices influence and reinforce our thoughts and emotions.
- The Three Gunas: The Yogic view of the basic types of energy and how they relate to both our lives and our diets.
- Food Choices & World View: How our choices and thoughts about food can impact our relationships with people and the planet.
- The Spirit of Fasting: An introductory look at fasting as a tool for self-study and inner-growth.
All dietary backgrounds welcome (really, this will be an open, non-judgmental workshop :)!
$20 Early Bird, $30 on the day of the event.
