In this special six-week program, you’ll have a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the primary practices & teachings of the Yoga tradition.
Each session will combine hands-on guidance in basic practices of Yoga, including asana, breath-work & meditation, along with exploration of the major principles of Yoga, including philosophy, diet & more. Over the six weeks, you’ll build the foundations for a strong personal routine, as well as a greatly enhanced understanding of Yoga as a whole. By the end of the program, you’ll have all the tools you need to establish you own practice, allowing you to experience dramatically better health, awareness, and peace of mind.
The Fundamentals of Asana — Learn the basics of a balanced practice, including fundamental poses, sequence & variations. You’ll learn how a better understanding of the purpose behind each pose can help you tailor your form to match to your unique needs, and you’ll learn how the physical postures relate to the greater teachings of Yoga as a whole.
Meditation: What It Is & Why We Need It — Learn the fundamentals of meditation, including why the yogis considered it essential & how it can benefit you. You’ll learn basic techniques, get answers to your questions & explore simple ways to bring this powerful practice into your daily life.
Pranayama: The Breath of Life — Explore the core teachings of pranayama, or breath-work, from the perspective of both East and West. You’ll learn the basic physiology & psychology of respiration, along with proven practices for greater energy, less stress & better concentration.
Yogic Diet — Discover how dietary choices influence your energy, feelings & thoughts. You’ll learn simple changes you can make that can improve your health & make the joy of nourishment one more part of your spiritual path.
Yoga Philosophy — Explore the fundamental concepts of Yoga, including the Yogic view of where suffering comes from, how we can step out those patterns & how we can support those we love in doing the same. We’ll focus particularly on how these ancient teachings relate to modern life & how we they can help us experience greater joy & peace.
Building a Personal Practice — Most important of all, you’ll have the chance to learn how the practices & teachings of Yoga can be applied to your own unique situation. As a result, you;; have the chance to find the techniques & approaches that match your own particular lifestyle & goals, helping you experience greater health, peace & ease.
